Lobby & Common Areas
The lobby is the highlight of the building. It’s two stories with elegant décor, and there’s a lounge area both on the main floor and upstairs. Visitor parking is also a plus—something not all downtown condos offer.
Amenities
The amenities are underwhelming for a building of this scale. The gym is small, has no windows, and doesn’t feel very inviting. There’s an outdoor pool, hot tub, and sauna, but the setup isn’t ideal—the hot tub and sauna are not gender-separated, which some may find inconvenient.
Units & Layouts
The Britt is a conversion from the former Sutton Place Hotel, so some of the layouts feel unusual compared to purpose-built condos. Expect to see some quirky floor plans.
Resident Community
Because of its proximity to the University of Toronto, there’s a high turnover of residents. Many students move in and out, so the building feels less like a stable, long-term community.
Location
This is the main selling point. Bay Street is quieter than Yonge, but you’re still very central. The building is steps away from cafes like The Alley, Bloom (Japanese), and the newly opened Peachey (Korean). It’s a convenient spot for both students and professionals.
